How would you like to have a smile you always dreamed of? Do you have gaps between your teeth that you want to close but don't want to wear braces? Do you want the shape of your teeth improved? And how about their color? If any of these questions apply to you, veneers may be an answer you've been looking for .

Before

After

The idea behind veneers is improvement of the color, shape and overall appearance of the teeth with littlest possible removal of the original tooth structure. In just 2 visits to the dentist, your teeth can be whiter, without un-sitely  spaces between them, and shaped in a way to give your smile an attractive boost.

Veneers are typically made of porcelain and they are bonded onto the teeth to ensure proper strength and function.  Often, before the treatment starts, the doctor will create a "mock-up" - a model of your teeth that shows the finished look with the veneers on. That allows the patient to view the completed work even before it's done and to make any corrections or improvements to maximize the cosmetic effect.

The veneer work is usually completed in 2 appointments. During the first visit, the teeth to be covered with veneers are prepared and shaped slightly to allow room for porcelain thickness. Many times the gums have to be contoured a bit to make sure the necessary esthetic result can be achieved. Then, a mold of the teeth is made from which a laboratory technician will be able to fabricate the veneers. The second visit is scheduled at least a week after the first one in order for the lab to complete the work. At that appointment veneers are fitted onto the teeth, all the necessary adjustments are made, and then veneers are cemented with special bonding cement - and you have an instant makeover!

With proper care and maintenance, veneers can last many years, enabling you to enjoy your beautiful teeth and smile without hesitation. Ask us today whether veneers are an option for you.
