Preventive Care

Our goal is to help you keep your teeth longer. Advances in dental technology means that most people over the age of 65 still have more than 20 of their natural teeth, but many good teeth are unnecessarily lost to teeth and gum diseases. We want to offer you many treatment options to allow you to increase your "tooth survival rate."

 Whitening

This simple yet effective and affordable procedure uses carbamide peroxide or Hydrogen peroxide
to lighten dark or stained teeth.  Teeth can be  whitened by professionally supervised at-home treatments or through an accelerated process in the dentist's office. Whichever process you choose we will monitor your progress closely and carefully to maximize the esthetic result and minimize any possible side-effects.

Bonding

Chipped, stained, or worn teeth are repaired by the application of a composite resin bonding material directly onto each tooth's surface.  This low-expense procedure allows the dentist to restore or enhance your smile in a single visit.

Tooth-Colored Fillings

The only fillings we use are tooth-colored white fillings (composite fillings) which nowadays are stronger and definitely more natural-looking than silver fillings. Over the last several years there has been much controversy surrounding silver fillings (amalgams) and the danger they may cause to the human body. While some points raised by anti-amalgamists are certainly valid, no single piece of scientific evidence exists that shows a direct link between amalgam fillings and any illnesses. However, for many people the greatest perceived downside of these fillings has been that they don't match tooth color. In response, we are offering white composite fillings as an effective alternative. White composite fillings are by far more natural-looking than silver ones and they will never discolor the teeth they are placed in or the neighboring teeth as amalgam fillings do. Composite fillings are extremely durable and they are usually placed in one appointment.

Inlays & Onlays

Inlays and Onlays are a terrific alternative to fillings, especially if an extensive amount of tooth breakdown has happened.  They are usually made of either porcelain, composite filling material, or gold.  Once placed, they are virtually undetectable in the mouth, and conserve much of your natural tooth structure.

Veneers

A thin layer of porcelain can be applied to the front of a tooth to dramatically improve its position, size, color, and shape.  Created in a dental laboratory, these restorations can provide you with a permanent aesthetic solution in just 2 clinical procedures.

Crowns / Bridges

Crowns are similar to veneers, except that they are placed over the entire tooth.  These restorations are used to correct severe decay or misalignment as well as teeth that have undergone root canal therapy.  Crowns are fabricated in a laboratory to provide a stable bite and enhanced aesthetics.

Bridged are generally made of porcelain-composite, bonded to precious metals to replace missing teeth. Bridges are placed on the neighboring teeth to span the site of the missing tooth to restore your bite and improve your appearance.

Root Canals

Root Canal Treatment is a way to save carious and broken down teeth as an alternative to extracting them. The infected nerve inside the offending tooth is removed, infection is treated, and then the tooth is sealed to once again restore it to proper appearance and function.

Implants

Dental implants are used to replace missing tooth roots and serve as a foundation for natural-looking replacements to help avoid removable dentures.

Dentures

A full or partial denture replaces many or all the teeth that may have been lost if other options, such as implants, are not feasible.  Dentures help in restoring a patient's oral function and rival nature in their cosmetic appearance.
